Channel Islands Heritage Festival
The Channel Islands Heritage Festival is a celebration of a group of small islands with a big history. The 2016 festival will honour the Islands' timeless relationship with the sea.
Our maritime heritage spans centuries. From Roman wrecks to famous seafarers, tales of privateering and shipbuilding to great shipwrecks, explore museums and lighthouses, take guided walking, cycling and bus tours and enjoy the many events and activities will take place at heritage sites around the Islands, throughout the Festival.
2016 marks the 150th anniversary of Victor Hugo's novel, The Toilers of the Sea. Visit the fishing port that inspired the tale and the House where the French author penned the classic. The Channel Islands past is woven into its present and its heritage is just one of its many outstanding features.
